PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Constructed in 1993, the Naper Boulevard Library is a beautiful Prairie-style structure that began to show signs of wear and tear soon after opening. Remodeling work at the Naper Boulevard Library in 2014 included a renovation of the existing main lobby, new carpeting and finishes throughout the building, updated lighting, new modular service desks, new Children’s and Adult Services furniture, renovated Quiet Study areas, and an updated dedicated Teen Space.

The total project budget was approximately $900,000.

The exterior of the building was also part of a renovation in 2009 performed by our firm, that included several sustainable improvements, a new monument sign and new permeable pavers that minimized stormwater runoff. Finally, the building’s concrete roof tiles were replaced by a much more energy-efficient and long-lasting shingle system.
