PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The historic Medinah Country Club underwent extensive renovation in preparation for the 1999 PGA Championship. Remodeling work included 96,000 SF and involved mechanical and electrical infrastructure, new fire protection, new interior design, locker rooms, paint restoration in the grand rotunda, new commercial kitchen, converting old third floor hotel rooms to meeting rooms, creating a new member drop-off area with improved access to the clubhouse and addressing accessibility throughout. The entire facility was renovated to renew, repair, restore, and accentuate the historic character of the building elements.
