PROJECT DESCRIPTION

ThunderHawk Golf Club, one of Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed golf courses, opened in Beach Park, Illinois. Designed for the Lake County Forest Preserve, this 18-hole Championship Golf Course is one of the few public golf courses in the Country certified as an Audubon “Signature Sanctuary” Golf Course.

The exposed, heavy timber construction of the 15,000 SF Clubhouse reflects the rustic elegance of a National Park Lodge and blends in beautifully with the natural setting. On the interior, the heavy timber construction is carried throughout the clubhouse.

After a tough round of golf, patrons can reenergize with a bite to eat from the Tall Tails Grille or unwind on the Outdoor Terrace overlooking the 18th green. Elegant banquet facilities provide a pleasant and charming atmosphere for various special functions, from weddings and parties to meetings and conventions.
