PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Joliet Park District and City of Joliet joined together to build this 10-acre aquatic facility accommodating 2,000 bathers.  The Joliet Splash Station features a zero-depth edge pool, two body flumes, a slide tower, a deep hopper with diving boards and drop slides and a kiddy sand play area.  The 850-linear-foot Lazy river features a 100 Foot “Raging Rapids,” a plunge pool, a tube slide, slide tower, a wood bridge with misters, and dumping buckets.  The 30-foot-tall six lane speed slide is ADA accessible from a ramp.  Other added amenities featured in this creative, railroad-themed aquatic park include landscaping, decks forming a concession area, a new concession building, lifeguard offices, an admissions building, two filter buildings and a party rental lawn area.
