Steve Mihelich Installed as 2nd Vice President of AIA-NEI

 

Carol Stream, Ill.Steve Mihelich, A.I.A, a principal with Williams Architects, Carol Steam, Ill., has been installed as 2nd Vice President of the Northeast Illinois Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA-NEI). 

The term he has been elected to serve runs from January 2004 until year’s end.  A line office to chapter presidency, the position is a component of the Chapter’s approach to maintaining continuity in a long-range leadership strategy.

“The firm is extremely proud and pleased that Steve has taken such an active role in the Chapter,” remarks Michael T. Williams, principal and chief executive officer of Williams Architects, an architectural and planning firm located in Carol Stream, Ill.  “We are confident Steve will continue to make a valuable contribution to this important professional organization.”

Mihelich, who joined the firm in 1991, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, and has held leadership positions in the Chapter’s Honor and Service Awards programs promoting chapter member accomplishments and talent. 

Mihelich was recognized previously by the AIA-NEI with the Chapter’s Architects in Action 2000 Service Award for Outstanding Professional Member.  He resides with his family in Downers Grove, Ill.
