Williams Architects To Provide Architectural Services for New St. Charles, Ill., Aquatic Facilities

Carol Stream, Ill. – Williams Architects, a Carol Stream, Ill., architectural firm that specializes in recreational facilities design, has been retained by the St. Charles Park District in Illinois to perform master planning and design work for recreational aquatics facilities to be constructed at the Campton Hills Park site located on the community’s west side.

Initially, Williams Architects, in collaboration with Innovative Aquatic Design, Schaumburg, Ill., will provide a design for a spray playground to be built at the site, in the first phase of an aquatics facility master plan to be developed by Williams.  Phase II of the master planning endeavor calls for development of a design for a large-scale aquatics facility at the park.

“The St. Charles Park Board and staff are looking forward to working with Williams Architects on this exciting project,” remarks St. Charles Park District Superintendent of Parks Dennis Ryan. “The splash playground will be a wonderful addition to our facilities and, when it opens in 2005, will reduce the pressure on Pottawatomie Pool.”

Comments Williams Architects Principal and Chief Executive Officer Mike Williams, “The scope of the Park District’s plans for this new park facility promises to bring exciting new recreational amenities to this growing community, and ones which park patrons will be able to enjoy for years to come.

“The community has the forward-looking vision of its recreation leaders to thank for this outstanding recreational initiative,” he adds.  “Williams Architects is pleased to have the opportunity to play a part in its planning.”

Originally established in 1974 and reorganized into its current entity in 1994, Williams Architects serve a range of clients in diverse markets, including municipal, park and recreation, religious and corporate.  For more information, visit www.williams-architects.com.
